james lee Bankstown leather doctorPlease welcome yet another new Leather Doctor to our team – James. James will be managing The Leather Doctor Bankstown territory in New South Wales. We spoke to him about his reasons for joining The Leather Doctor and what he hopes to achieve with the business.

Here’s what he had to say…

What was it that attracted you to join The Leather Doctor business?

I have been watching Leather Doctor for a few years now, but did not act on it until I read an article in Franchise business news 4 months ago about the Leather Doctor. So I called Scott (Sales Manager) and had a good chat, it made me realised that this was the business for me. I would have the freedom to run my own business and at the same time knowing that I have a good National brand support and back up if I needed it.

What did you do prior to becoming a Leather Doctor?

I have had a few national franchise businesses, mainly in Retail and hospitality, including seven-eleven and The Coffee Club etc. My most recent business was setting up a Real Estate business (and I still have it).

What territory will you manage?

I have purchased the Bankstown territory in Sydney.

What do you hope to achieve during your time as a Leather Doctor?

I do have a few plans in place, which I hope I would be able to implementgradually, of course I will need to master my skill as a Leather Doctor first, hopefully it would enable me to expand after that.

What advice would you give to someone looking to buy a Leather Doctor franchise?

Always look for a franchisor who has ten+ years experience in running a franchise business and also has a national presence.

Tell us something interesting about yourselves?

This is a hard one, probably the most interesting thing about myself is that I don’t have one particularly interesting facet. I want to learn everything and want to get my hands on anything I can that is new. As an IT professional in my past life, learning is definitely in my blood.

Describe your ideal weekend?

My ideal weekend is spent reading.
