Please welcome yet another Leather Doctor; Shannon Lott. Shannon operates The Leather Doctor Mackay area in Queensland. We spoke to him about his reasons for joining The Leather Doctor and what he hopes to achieve with the business. Here’s what he had to say…
What was it that attracted you to join The Leather Doctor business?
I’ve always liked working with my hands, and problem solving. Once I learned about the Leather Doctor, I was immediately piqued.
I spent a day in the van with Jon Minards (previous owner), and got to experience a variety of repairs in that day, and heard about all the possibilities.
I loved the idea of working with my partner, and working for ourselves.
What did you do prior to becoming a Leather Doctor?
Before joining the Leather Doctor family, I worked as a machine operator in the construction industry…. So I really just bounced around in a machine moving dirt 🙂
What territory will you manage?
We cover the Mackay region, which covers from St Lawrence to Bowen, and West to Clermont.
What do you hope to achieve during your time as a Leather Doctor?
To run our area proficiently, expand and manage a successful business for our family.
Tell us something interesting about yourself?
I have a beautiful 18 month old daughter, and another one on the way.
Describe your ideal weekend?
Playing in the backyard with the family and dogs, going for a swim and relaxing.
